Lydia currently works with the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) as a Course Director for the Hostile Environment Awareness Training, Human Rights Training for field officers and Civilian Foundation Courses and a facilitator on different peace and security courses at the KAIPTC. Has developed, conducted and reviewed various training courses for the KAIPTC, ECOWAS, SADC-RPTC and the Africa Union. She doubles as the Focal Person for the ASF, African Standby Capacity Roster and collaborates with the UN, AU, ECOWAS, etc. on Civilian Components Activities. She is experienced in Capacity Development (training), Election Observation, Exercise Planning/Logistics, Events/Hospitality, Evaluation and Analyses and culturally diversified. Hitherto, Lydia headed the Course Management Unit of KAIPTC and Was the Senior Administrative Officer for the GIZ/KAIPTC project. In terms of education, Lydia is a PhD Candidate with the Department of Political Science, at the University of Ghana-Legon and has an MPhil Human Resource Management as well as B.A Political Science both from the University of Ghana. Lydia has certificate in management and adult training from the British council and University of Cape Coast; and certificates in different Peace and Security Courses from the AU/ECOWAS/EASF-COM/SADC and KAIPTC. Her general research areas are gender issue in peace and security and civilian in Peace Operations in Africa.
