Salisu is a creative, enthusiastic, high achiever with years of outstanding performance based on solid professional qualifications and formal education consisting of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) fellowship and an MSc in Supply Chain Management from Aberdeen Business School RGU, U.K., respectively. Currently working on research on the Blockchain adoption in the oil and gas supply chain at the University of Strathclyde Glasgow UK.
Salisu has a career spanning across the public and private sectors in Africa, the Middle East and Europe over the last decade. His current role is the Managing Partner of NatQuest Limited – a supply chain firm in Nigeria with a presence in the U.K. and the Middle East through the breadth of partnerships and collaboration with reputable organisations. His leadership ability influences his thinking to set vision, clear direction and influence senior executives/board to achieve business outcomes—as a strategic thinker who can leverage expertise and drive change in a complex and diverse international business environment.
He is a passionate leader who has built, motivated teams and nurtured talent in pan-regional organisations and diverse cultures. Managed and led new start-ups, organisational transformation and change across functions and regions, including recently, Africa Chamber of Digital Commerce, Home Eat Nigeria, amongst others. Consistently delivered results and enabled sustainable competitive advantage in revenue, innovation, cost and continuous improvement. To mentor and contribute to the development of Procurement best practices, build a procurement network among young people, contributing to the CIPS Nigeria Branch both as Branch Executive and Coordinator of Abuja and Northern Nigeria since 2016. He has championed several International Development programmes/partnerships on behalf of CIPS Nigeria, recently CIPS DUBAI/CIPS Nigeria Collaboration. Salisu organises and participates in several Procurement Conferences, Summits and Webinars in Nigeria and International, authored and co-authored several conference and journal articles, and recently emerged 1st runner-up best paper award at the ERPBSS2020 Middlesex University Dubai – UAE.
